The Rosselkhoznadzor has introduced temporary restrictions on the import and transit of meat products from the Belarusian manufacturer LLC "Velec-Mit" across the territory of Russia. This decision was made after attempts to import two batches of pork fat weighing 43.6 tons into Russia were thwarted, which were being transported in transit from LLC "Velec-Mit" to a Kazakhstani enterprise under a fake veterinary certificate. A preliminary check of the imported products raised doubts among the Service's employees about the origin of the raw materials from which the goods were produced.
