Rosselkhoznadzor destroyed a batch of Armenian roses due to violations of quarantine rules.

On July 23, 2026, in the Smolensk region, a batch of freshly cut Armenian roses was destroyed. The measure was taken due to gross violations of the rules for importing quarantine products into Russia. On June 18, 2026, inspectors from Rosselkhoznadzor, together with employees of the Smolensk customs office, detained 39.2 tons of flowers imported from Belarus on fake documents. The batch was destroyed due to a violation of quarantine rules.
