The Grain Union of Kazakhstan met with the Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of Finance to discuss draft amendments to the Tax Code. The Ministry of National Economy reported on 23 meetings and 100 conceptual tax policy issues. The Grain Union proposed a VAT refund mechanism for 2027 and clarification of Article 484 of the Tax Code. They also suggested maintaining tax incentives for processors for a transition period.
The initiatives have been accepted for consideration by government agencies. The Grain Union will continue to participate in improving tax legislation, promoting domestic agricultural producers' and processing plants' interests.
